When we moved to this house 7 years ago, we looked and looked for a painting to put over the fireplace. And the only one we ever found that we both really liked was one of a rainy Victorian street scene. Of course, most of the time it’s become just part of the background after this long, but whenever I do notice it, I enjoy looking at it.
Until we were in England, I never realized just how much and how often it rains there. Now when we watch a movie that was filmed there, I try to see how much the rain figures in to the story or background. Maybe I just wasn’t observant enough before.
