Vintage Valentine with a Horse

Though it’s not dated (I’ve never even seen a date on a vintage valentine), this one looks to be from the 1940s or early 50s, judging from the style of the little boy’s shirt.

I sincerely hope that Reed and Lucy grew up to have happy and fulfilled lives.

  1. Don’t you just love vintage valentines… They’re the best! I actually found some cards at Wal-Mart today that had that vintage flair. Yes, I was excited! Can’t wait to send them out. “:o)

    • When the Christmas things went on sale for 75% off at Wal-Mart during January, I bought 2 boxes of great cards. Christian themed and pretty. $1.00 per box, 32 cards in each one.

P.S. – After Valentine’s Day one year, our local Dollar General had a hand basket by the door with the Valentine envelopes in it – for free! The manager was encouraging me to take all of them, but I didn’t want to be greedy. I took about 20% of them and now have quite a few for when I make my own cards.

      Yes! I love vintage cards!
