Isn’t he sweet. I could just reach out and cuddle and
He’s so soft and silky.
But he has these really sharp things on the ends of his toe pads. When he’s had enough petting, he informs me with them.
I am reminded of an old saying that is as true for cats as it is for humans: “Great evil sometimes is hidden behind a pretty face”. What you cannot see or know is that, after a couple of petting strokes, this cute little cat will scratch and bite you until you are terrified and bleeding!
He was born wild and showed up in our fenced yard as a small kitten. Never saw his mother or siblings. No idea where he came from.
I like to give him the benefit of a doubt and say that sometimes he reverts to that feral beginning.
Just call me the Cat Excuser.

Several of my favorite blogs are no longer current. However, I’m leaving them up because they have great posts in their archives.
