December posts

Ah, this is the first day of the Christmas season for me. Today’s goals are to replace the magazines in the basket with old December issues (done), bring out the Christmas books (done), hang the big bulb multi-color lights on our fence (not done), wrap a few presents (not done), and start a paper chain for the kitchen window (not done).

It’s encouraging that I have even 2 things already checked off since it’s not even 8:00 a.m. yet.

The things listed are in addition to the normal (laundry – not done, dishes – done and carry in firewood – not done). Oh, yes, and cooking a large kettle of vegetable soup. The weather report says it’s going to be rainy and cool this weekend and soup waiting to be reheated will be just the thing.

My intentions for December posts will be:

* Nativity scenes (many with instructions)

*Christmas sheet music

*Vintage Christmas cards

It’s amazing to me how many visits to this blog are for people searching for vintage Christmas cards. I have a few more in my collection and intend to share them. There aren’t enough to post one everyday, but I’ll post as many as I can.
