Weatherford, Texas (part I)

Weatherford, Texas
Approaching the Parker County Courthouse from the north on highway 51. It’s a very imposing and lovely sight.

Parker County Courthouse
Ideally, I’d like to take some photographs with no cars in between me and the courthouse, but Weatherford is a bustling town. Not overcrowded, but lively, and seldom are the streets deserted.

Weatherford bridge
Here’s the replacement bridge on the old Ft. Worth Highway several blocks east of the courthouse. It was very troubling to me when they made plans to tear down the old one, but I’m pleased that they did such a good job with the new one. Not as stylish as the original, but definitely not bad.

This one was taken about sunset.
